Ms. Pember’s Period 5 history class has decided to hold a can/bottle drive for our Generation Citizen project. We chose to do a bottle drive to promote recycling among Malden High School students. Our goals are to educate students and staff about recycling, collect bottles, and use the redemption money as a fundraiser. The bottle drive is going to be a competition among 9th grade students.
The 9th grade house that collects the most bottles will earn points towards our annual Knowledge Bowl trivia competition. We believe by carrying out this project we can educate students about the importance of recycling and advocate for the recycling program at Malden High to be better implemented and managed.
